Life as a Janitor.

Marvin Fox. Born January 8 1961, he currently lives in Corvallis Oregon and works at Samaritan Health Services/ Clinics, Some of which go by names of Family Medicine, for 9 years he's been in a Janitorial industry known as Superior Janitorial. His occupation is an Operating Manager which means he works, trains new coming people, and checks the buildings. This goes from 5 to 7 days a week, but sometimes it can be as much as 10.

Here's Marvin talking to one of his coworkers while waiting in the Elevator. He's planning on taking the trash out, and needs to transport the bin by using the elevators that go upstairs. Monday May 29 2022 9:34 PM, Corvallis Oregon.

Marvin stands in front of one of the many buildings he works at. These medical buildings act as a chain, and connect to each other, especially after hours. Marvin also works at clinics in Lebanon, Albany, Sweet Home, and Philomath. There's also Dentist offices that he'll clean.

Here's Marvin and another co worker of his drinking coffee. They're both listening to another one of their co workers. They bought coffee while taking their break. This is the break room they go to in order to eat, or drink food. These are some things Marvin enjoys about his job, the people he works with. There's 2 or 3 people he has to get along with, but nonetheless.

If Marvin could change one thing about his job it would be everyones pay, not just him, but every other person he works with

There's a numerous amount of common misconceptions when it comes to being a janitor. One that Marvin can agree on is the concept that Janitors don't do much, and just slack off while working, when in reality it's not true. This comes into play with new people coming in to work as a Janitor, the majority of which don't stay long.
A lot of anonymous factors come to play in this, such as individuals never showing up, or a lack of communication from that.
Being a Janitor is perceived as an easy job, it's physically demanding. He's said that it's not so much the public but the people that he, and others he works with, work for, it's the doctors, nurses, the people that work during the day. Sometimes people will intentionally throw pieces of trash on the floor just to see if Janitors will clean it up, weaponizing whether or not if they want to write a complaint.
